The Made to Last app helps you get the most out of the Couples Conference. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work — we don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Your registration details — name and email (from your conference registration), and optionally your organization.
- Your phone number — only if you add it for text alerts, along with the date you consented to receive texts.
- What you create in the app — your session notes, the sessions you mark as attended, and any session ratings you give.
- Notification setup — if you turn on push notifications, the app stores a device subscription so it can send them.
- Sign-in records — to log you in we store your email and a temporary 6-digit code, plus a session so you stay signed in.
How we use it
- To sign you in securely (passwordless email codes).
- To show you the schedule, your notes, and your saved sessions.
- To send event updates you opt into, by push notification and/or text message.
- To give organizers anonymous-in-aggregate counts (attendance, average ratings) so they can improve the event.
Text messages
Texts are sent only if you add your number and check the consent box. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or turn off Text alerts on the Info screen.
Service providers
We use trusted vendors to run the app: hosting and database (Vercel, Neon), email (Resend), text messaging (Powered By Text), registration (Eventbrite), live polls (Mentimeter), and your browser/OS push services. They process your data only to provide these services.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for the conference and a reasonable period afterward, then remove it. You can delete everything yourself at any time (see below).
Your choices & rights
- Turn push notifications and text alerts on or off anytime on the Info screen.
- Delete your data — on the Info screen, “Delete my data” permanently removes your account, notes, saved sessions, ratings, phone number, and sign-in records.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask a question, by emailing us.
Children
The app is intended for conference attendees and is not directed to children under 13.
